SELECTED FAMILY & TEEN PORTRAITS

Connection, character and growing up

The photographs move between shared moments and individual portraits — preserving connection while giving each person space to remain recognisable and themselves.

who the sessions are for

Different relationships, different kinds of portraits

The session is adapted to the people in front of the camera — their ages, relationships, energy and the kind of memories or individual portraits they want to preserve.

01

Family Portrait Stories

For families who want more than a formal group picture — a coherent story with shared portraits, individual moments and the relationships between them.

02

Parent & Child

A focused session around the connection between a parent and child, with gentle direction and room for touch, movement and quiet interaction.

03

Children & Siblings

Portraits that let children remain expressive and recognisable, whether photographed individually or together as siblings.

04

Teen Editorial Portraits

A more independent, style-aware session for teenagers, shaped around personality, clothing and the way they want to be seen.

THE APPROACH

Guided enough to feel confident, natural enough to feel like you

You do not need to arrive knowing how to pose or how the session should unfold.

I prepare the visual direction in advance and guide posture, movement, expression and interaction during the session. At the same time, I leave room for real relationships, changing energy and individual personality.

01

Prepare & Plan

We discuss who will be photographed, the ages and relationships involved, clothing, location and the balance between shared and individual portraits.

02

Gentle Direction

I guide where to stand, how to move and what to do with hands and posture, while using simple interaction rather than forcing everyone into fixed poses.

03

A Complete Story

The final selection combines connection, individual character, wider environmental frames and closer portraits into one coherent visual story.

SESSION FORMATS

Choose the shape of your session

The right format depends on who will be photographed, how much variety you want and whether the focus is on family connection, a particular relationship or an independent teen portrait.

FOCUSED FORMAT

Parent, Child & Siblings

A more focused session centred on one relationship, one child or a small sibling group, with room for both interaction and individual portraits.

  • Parent and child or sibling portraits
  • Gentle direction through simple movement
  • Closer images and natural interaction
  • Home or simple location setting

FOR kids&TEENAGERS

Kid or Teen Portrait

An individual, style-aware portrait session shaped around personality, clothing and how kid or teenager wants to be seen at this stage of growing up.

  • Visual direction around personality and interests
  • Outfit guidance and reference planning
  • Studio, city or natural location
  • Close portraits, full-length frames and movement

Session duration, final image count, additional participants, studio hire and travel are confirmed after the session details and location have been discussed.

SESSION QUESTIONS

Before your family or portrait session

Practical answers about participants, clothing, children’s energy, locations, individual portraits, final images and privacy.

Who can take part in the session?

Sessions can be created for a full family, one parent and child, siblings, an individual child or a teenager. Extended family members can also be included when the group size and required combinations are discussed in advance.

What ages do you photograph?

I photograph children and teenagers of different ages. The pace, amount of direction and session structure are adapted to the child’s age, energy and comfort, with additional time for movement or breaks when needed.

What should we wear?

Clothing should feel natural to the people wearing it while working together as one visual palette. The outfits do not need to match exactly. Before the session, you can send photographs of possible options and I will help refine colours, silhouettes, textures and the level of formality.

What if my child does not want to pose or stay still?

Children do not need to remain still or perform for the camera. I use simple movement, interaction and gentle prompts, adjusting the pace when attention or energy changes. The aim is not perfect behaviour, but photographs that still feel considered and recognisable.

Can we combine family portraits with individual images?

Yes. A Family Portrait Story can include the full family, smaller combinations and individual portraits when the session length and group size allow it. The priorities are discussed beforehand so the most important relationships and individual images are included.

Should we photograph at home, in the studio or on the coast?

Home offers a personal and familiar atmosphere, especially for younger children. A studio creates a cleaner and more controlled result. The coast adds movement, space and natural texture. I will help choose the setting according to comfort, clothing, season and the visual direction you prefer.

How many final photographs will we receive?

The final image count depends on the selected format, number of participants and intended balance between shared and individual portraits. The confirmed scope will specify the number of carefully selected and retouched photographs, the selection process and the expected delivery timeline.

Can the photographs remain private?

Yes. Please mention if you prefer the session to remain private. Any use of family, child or teen photographs in my portfolio, website or social media is discussed separately and is not assumed as part of the booking.
